ABUJA: Federal Capital Territory FCT minister, Nyesom Wike has intensified his public criticisms of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, offering a pointed personal rebuke of his political ambitions.
Speaking at a Media chat on Monday in Abuja, Wike suggested that Atiku’s age and history of changing political parties should prompt him to reconsider his career.
Framing his comments as filial advice, the minister said; “If I were his son, I would sit him down and ask: ‘Dad, how can you keep hopping from one party to another at almost 80 years old?’”
The remark is the latest in a series of public jabs by Wike, highlighting the deep-seated political rivalry between the duo.
Wike also alleged that Atiku was “hustling for the ADC Presidential ticket,” further fueling the narrative of political inconsistency.
