ABUJA: The Nigeria Customs Service NCS said it has fixed a technical glitch that caused delays in the processing of import documents.
The issue, which impacted the transmission of Product Certificates and SONCAP documents for PAAR processing, arose from integrating the Standard Organisation of Nigeria SON onto the new B’Odogwu platform.
Customs spokesperson, Abdullahi Maiwada, the service confirmed the disruption began on July 23, 2025.
It caused various issues for traders, including incorrect data formatting, missing product codes, and difficulties linking their Tax Identification Numbers TIN to their profiles.
The NCS confirmed that as of Wednesday, August 6, both agencies successfully resolved the transmission issues.
Product Certificates and SONCAP documents are now being transmitted seamlessly, and the backlog of affected transactions is being cleared.
To support stakeholders, the NCS has rolled out the B’Odogwu platform nationwide across all four zones (A, B, C, and D).
Trained officers are on the ground to provide technical assistance to traders and licensed agents, and regular training sessions are being held to resolve operational challenges.
The NCS reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and collaboration, assuring stakeholders that it is focused on building user capacity and improving the new platform.
