Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz on Sunday visited the Israeli Air Force Command Center in Tel Aviv to monitor ongoing strikes against Houthi strongholds in Yemen.

They were joined by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar.

Speaking during the visit, Netanyahu confirmed that Israeli fighter jets had carried out precision strikes on key strategic facilities in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, including the Presidential Palace, the city’s main power station and fuel storage facilities.

“Today, the Air Force has once again attacked strategic targets in Yemen. The terrorist Houthi regime is learning, the hard way, that it will pay, and is already paying, a very heavy price for its acts of aggression against the State of Israel”, Netanyahu said.

The Prime Minister praised the IDF’s operational success, noting that all Israeli aircraft involved in the mission returned safely.

He reiterated Israel’s policy of deterrence, declaring: “Whoever attacks us – we attack them. Whoever is planning to attack us – we attack them. I think that the entire region is getting to know the strength and the determination of the State of Israel.”

The strikes come amid heightened tensions in the region, as Israel intensifies military pressure on the Iran-backed Houthis following their missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli territory.
