BENIN: Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Saturday embarked on an inspection tour of major projects in Esan Central Local Government Area, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education across Edo Central Senatorial District.
Top among the projects visited were the new Edo State College of Nursing and Health Sciences Technology at Udomi and the construction of the Uromi–Onewa–Udomi–Ibhiolulu–Afuda–Idumoza–Eko–Owaya–Ewora Road, an interconnecting route designed to ease transportation and stimulate economic activities.
Okpebholo, who was taken round the sites by project engineers, expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work. He commended the contractors, Mutual Commitment Co. Ltd and Setraco Nigeria Limited, for maintaining high standards and working within timelines.
“We are determined to deliver quality projects that will directly impact the lives of our people. I am impressed with what I have seen here today,” the governor said, assuring residents that his government will ensure timely completion and durability of all projects.
The governor’s visit comes months after he signed into law the bill establishing the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences and Technology, which he described as “a dream come true” for the Udomi community.
Okpebholo was accompanied by top government officials during the inspection tour.
