The degree was awarded at the Nasarawa State University’s 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in recognition of Odumosu’s contributions to knowledge in security administration, strategic leadership, and national development.

The FCT Command, in a statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Corps Monica Ojobi, described the achievement as a reflection of Odumosu’s “unwavering commitment to intellectual advancement and professional excellence,” noting that his research continues to inform policy development and strengthen internal security frameworks across Nigeria.
