LAGOS: A female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, who recently assaulted Ibom Air crew and airport security staff, has been charged to court and remanded in prison.
Tunde Moshood, spokesperson of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, disclosed this in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Moshood disclosed that Emmanson has been sent to Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison in Lagos.
“The more reason the flying public should be more careful, the unruly passenger on Uyo-Lagos bound Ibom Air, Miss Comfort Emmanson has been charged to court and she’s now cooling off in Kirikiri,” he stated.
The incident, which occurred on a flight from Uyo to Lagos, involved Emmanson assaulting an Ibom Air crew member and clashing with security personnel at the Murtala Muhammed Airport. The airline has since placed a travel ban on her.
