ABUJA: Prominent Ebira groups have continued to pay tributes to the late Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani Ododo, father of Kogi State governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressing sympathy and solidarity with the governor and his family.
In a message signed by its President, Sadiq Onimisi Lawal, the Ebira Youth Elite Organization of Nigeria EYEN described the death of the elder Ododo as an “irreplaceable void,” noting that the late patriarch would be fondly remembered.
“As you and your family navigate this moment of grief, we pray that Almighty Allah grants you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may you find solace in cherished moments,” the group stated.
It also prayed that Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him Paradise.
Similarly, the Okehi Reawakening Leadership Forum ORALF, in its condolence letter to the governor, said the loss was not only to the Ododo family but also to the state at large.
“This is a time of great loss to you, families and the state at large, and our thoughts are with you during this difficult period. May your father’s memory be a blessing, and may you find strength and comfort in the love and support of those around you. May Allah grant him Aljanatul Firdaus,” the forum prayed.
Also, the Ihima Liberation Forum ILF has extended its deepest condolences to Governor Ododo.
“We mourn with you during this difficult time and recognize the profound loss of a parent.
“Your Father’s passing leaves a significant void, and we trust in your strength and the support of loved ones to navigate this period.
“The Ihima Liberation Forum sends thoughts of peace and comfort to you and your family. May your father’s memory be a blessing and legacy of love”, said ILF president, Abduljabar Maikasuwa Abdullahi.
On its part, the OVIDI Family, through a message signed by Haruna Ipemida, commiserated with the governor, recalling the fulfilled life of the late Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani Ododo who passed on at 83.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss and pray that the memories of his life, legacy and values instilled in you will be a source of comfort and strength during this difficult period,” the family wrote.
It further prayed that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
The passing of Alhaji Ahmed MomohSani Ododo has continued to attract tributes from individuals, groups and communities, with many describing him as a father figure whose life impacted positively on society.
