ABUJA: President Bola Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), reversing earlier management changes at the state-owned broadcaster.

Dembos, first appointed by Tinubu in October 2023, will now return to complete his three-year tenure.

In the same directive, the President also recalled Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to serve out his tenure, which runs until 2027. Adewuyi was appointed in 2024.

According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the decision nullifies recent announcements appointing a new NTA director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.
