ABUJA: The House of Representatives has shifted its resumption of plenary from September 23 to October 7, 2025.
In a memo to members, Clerk of the House, Yahaya Danzaria, announced the new date, expressing regret over the change. No official reason was given for the postponement.
“Honourable Members are hereby informed that the resumption of plenary sessions earlier scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, has been rescheduled. The new date of resumption is Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Kindly take note and make the necessary adjustments to your schedules accordingly,” the memo read in part.
The extension prolongs the chamber’s recess, leaving several pending national issues awaiting parliamentary consideration.
