ABUJA: Residents of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, under the aegis of the Cabul Network, have applauded the Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his transformative leadership and the visible progress recorded across the Territory since he assumed office.

In a letter of commendation jointly signed by Chijioke Nwachukwu, Director General of the Network, and Matthew Eguche, Secretary, the group praised Wike for what they described as “unprecedented infrastructural renewal and development” across the six area councils and districts of the nation’s capital.

According to the Network, the pace and scope of development being witnessed in the FCT are unmatched in recent history, noting that Wike’s leadership has brought a new sense of direction and results-driven governance.

“It is with great joy that we, the residents of FCT, state that never before have we experienced such a marked improvement in the quality of infrastructure and developmental initiatives in the Territory,” the group said.

Highlighting some of the minister’s achievements, the Cabul Network pointed to the expansion of major roads, construction of new area council roads to ease housing pressure, and the revitalization of railway stations, all of which, they said, have improved connectivity and living conditions for residents.

“Every area of infrastructure is receiving due attention simultaneously, and this holistic approach is a clear testimony of your dedication and effective leadership,” the statement added.

The group further urged the minister to remain focused on his development agenda despite attempts by critics to distract him, stressing that the majority of FCT residents appreciate his efforts.

“We strongly condemn the voices of dissent and naysayers, and urge you not to be distracted by them,” the group declared. “We are confident that with the unwavering support of Mr. President, the Federal Capital Territory, under your leadership, will continue to reach new heights of development.”

Reaffirming their loyalty and partnership with the administration, the Cabul Network revealed that its members are largely made up of individuals who served as National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the FCT between 1998 and 2000, and have since remained committed to the development of the Territory.

“We are proud to stand with you in this journey of progress,” the group concluded.

The Network commended Wike for his bold reforms, urging him to sustain the momentum toward transforming Abuja into a model city befitting its status as the capital of Africa’s largest democracy.
