ABUJA: The Federal Government has released a new update on the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Nigeria Correctional Service NCoS, Federal Fire Service FFS, and Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, under the supervision of the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Services Board CDCFIB.

In a statement issued Tuesday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (retd.), the CDCFIB announced that the recruitment portal –  recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng –  will officially close on Friday, November 7, 2025, urging all shortlisted applicants to visit the site to confirm their status before the deadline.

According to the statement, all shortlisted candidates will participate in an online computer-based test CBT scheduled to commence on Wednesday, November 12, and conclude on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The Board emphasized that the test would be conducted exclusively online, thereby discontinuing the use of all previously designated physical CBT centres.

“Applicants who had earlier updated their profiles with a CBT centre are required to revisit the recruitment portal to select a preferred online test date and time,” the statement read. “The link for the online test will be published on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.”

The Board further advised all candidates to ensure they possess a stable internet connection and the necessary digital devices to take the test. It also warned applicants to follow the instructions on their examination slips meticulously to avoid disqualification.

Jibril reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair, and seamless recruitment process, assuring applicants that the Board will continue to provide updates as necessary to ensure a credible exercise.

The CDCFIB’s ongoing recruitment covers several paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior and aims to fill critical vacancies to strengthen national security and public safety operations.
