LOKOJA: A 47-year old Chinese supervisor at BN Ceramics in Ajaokuta local government of Kogi State, Mr Luo Zhi Mao, has been reported dead.
According to a security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who shared the details on X, Mao collapsed around 6:30pm on Saturday, August 2, while working in the factory’s Press department.
He was rushed to Covenant Hospital in Ajaokuta and then referred to the Federal Medical Centre FMC in Lokoja, the state capital.
However, due to an ongoing strike by doctors and nurses in public hospitals, he was moved to Shifaah Hospital, also in Lokoja.
Mao died three days later, on Tuesday, around 9:30pm.
His body has been moved to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
While the police did not immediately suspect any foul, an investigation has been launched into the incident.
