
BENIN: The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has nominated four individuals as Commissioners-Designate for his cabinet.
The list of nominees has been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The nominees are Barr. Nosa T. Adams, Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, Dr Felix Ehiguese Akhabue and Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa.
A seasoned legal practitioner and political activist, Hon. Nosa Adams holds qualifications in both law and human resource management.
He has a long history of public service, including roles as Chairman of the Egor Local Government Council and as a Special Adviser to a former Edo State Governor.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association NBA and the Principal Partner at his law firm, Nosa Adams & Co.
Hon. Yakubu Musa is a distinguished politician, agricultural scientist, and business consultant.
A Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, he previously served as the Chairman of the Etsako West Local Government Area.
He is also a recognized Rotarian and has been named an Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates.
Hon. Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, a chartered accountant and seasoned administrator, is a political leader with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration.
His public service career includes serving as the Chairman of Esan West Local Government Council and rising to become the National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria ALGON.
He has also held key positions in international bodies such as the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa UCLGA.
Engr. Prof. Omorodion Ikponmwosa is a respected academic and expert in Industrial and Production Engineering.
He holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Automation and Control. A member of professional bodies like the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria COREN and the Nigerian Society of Engineers NSE, he brings a strong background in engineering and academic leadership to the role.
